In Canada, the laser industry is completely unregulated.  That means that anyone over the age of 18 can purchase and operate a laser, from a business, from their home, or even from their garage!  Because of this there is a drastic variation in quality of laser skin care available on the market.

Before deciding where to purchase laser services, the prudent consumer will ask different facilities which kind of laser they use, how many times a certain procedure must be performed to achieve success,  if the price is  guaranteed throughout all treatments, and who will be performing the treatments.  Is the laser operator qualified to perform laser surgery?  Is she a member of a medical profession, and is she fully trained and licensed in the province of Ontario?  Is the clinic adequately covered by medical malpractice insurance?

Our facility, and a few others in the Waterloo Region, are here to fill in these gaps.  All clients are seen and given a full medical and skin care assessment by our Medical Director, Dr. Jodie Wang.  Treatments are all performed by a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse, licensed by the College of Nurses of Ontario. 

Our Cutera XEO laser has safety parameters second to none in the industry.  The machine recalibrates between each and every pulse of the laser, ensuring that each pulse contains precisely the dose of light which Dr. Wang, guided by Cutera parameters, has decided is right for that particular client and that particular condition.
